Long Weekends and Lilly Pulitzer.

Hey y'all! Because of presidents' day tomorrow, I have been enjoying a long weekend. Usually by this time on a regular Sunday, I would be freaking out and doing last minute studying and homework. But, I'M NOT! yay (:

Let's get on with this post, even though I could ramble on for how much I love, love, love long weekends and could probably write something as long as a book.

I have been doing a lot of fitness related activities this weekend, and I am feeling great! On Friday, I went to the Country Club and hit with the ball machine for a while and then practiced my serve, I think i'm ready for my tennis match on Friday! Also, I rode a lot this weekend (big news: I am getting a new horse most likely this week!) and ran.

Yesterday, I was feeling a little tired from all of my activities, so mother and I went to do a little bit of retail therapy (: I didn't end up buying much because the selection of Lilly Pulitzer that bloomingdales' carries is really miniscule compared to our Lilly store. But I did go home with something (:

At my school you have to wear shoes with laces (so no flats ):) and I was really wanting some new shoes to go with my sperrys. Did y'all know that Tory Burch has those type of shoes? Because I didn't and was blown away!

I love these! They are the Murphey Sneaker from Tory Burch. Navy blue is a color that will go with all of my uniform polos and the leather is so buttery soft!

Now this was a steal! This skirt was just about $60, and it was originally $119! This is the Roslyn Skirt in Multi Open Call! I had it hemmed yesterday and I wore it to church today, it is SO CUTE on! I got several compliments.

I'm guilty, yet another Rosalyn Skirt!! But this one has a single block stripe (: This is in the pattern Pink Glamorous Life! I pre-saled it at bloomingdales' for next weekend & I am excited to wear this beauty!

(FYI: There is a sale next weekend at bloomies' so...go pre-sale now!)

I saw a couple of possible Easter-worthy dresses but I'm going to go to the actual Lilly store to make sure!

And lastly, my outfit of the day for church!

I am wearing my gold & cork jack's, my Lilly Rosalyn skirt in Multi Open Call, and my Lilly Lexi Crew shirt in Navy.

I usually don't wear a lot of face makeup, but i didn't get to blowdry my hair this morning so I had a little fun. I wore Clinique Supernatural Foundation (it's lighter than my Tinted Moisturizer), Nars blush in Orgasm, Benefit They're Real! mascara, Sephora liquid eyeliner ( VERY thin line (:) and YSL touche eclat eye brightener.

PS: I tried hot rolling my hair about an hour ago, and I love the results! I would usually write that off as something older people would do, but no ma'am! This is so cute for people with thick hair because curling irons make you look like a poodle!!

Long time, No See!

Hey y'all! I am so sorry that I have been absent from the blogging scene! I have missed it so much! These last couple of weeks have just been so so SO busy and I didn't have one extra second for fun stuff like this! So, let's catch up (:

I went to new York city and it was a quick trip up there but it was just perfect! I loved spending the weekend with one of my best friends Lindsey (: On Friday morning we flew up to JFK, and we got in around 11, so perfect time for an early lunch! I couldn't resist going to one of my favorites, Balthazar! I would definitely suggest it for any of y'all who are looking to venture out to soho (there are also tons of cute shops!). Then we kind of wandered aimlessly for a while (: I met up with some of my friends, Tay and Sammie. It was great to see them. On Saturday I did a little shopping...Madewell and Kate Spade anyone? Then, I went to the Cody Simpson welcome to paradise tour! Now don't laugh at me. I like australian blondes, but I'm not a fan girl or anything, just enjoy his music. I got to meet him and his family, they were super sweet and polite. For the concert I wore jeans, a cute shirt with French script on it from
Zara and a jcrew grey schoolboy blazer (: Bobbi Brown did my makeup, and I got some new stuff...love! And the most exciting part? I got to go to...

LADURÉE! If you watch gossip girl you know what I am talking about! Blair is always eating their macarons, and macarons are my definite fetish! But let me say that I have never tasted anything more decadent! I would suggest the raspberry (framboise) or their 150 year anniversary one (almond) SO GOOD!

Also, I had a great time at my Sadie hawkins dance last Friday! I'll insert some pictures of that and powder puff! (I was the center!)

And last, but not least: valentines day!! I loved waking up to a starbucks card and chocolate! My sweet friends brought me chai tea, chocolate chip pound cake, and tons of candy! I utilized hopsy's crush can idea and it was a HIT! Thank you Helen (:

I promise that I will blog regularly from now on, I have my life back under control!! Expect some fashion posts very soon...I have some Easter dress things to take care of this weekend! Follow me, and I would love to follow back!

My Kinda Party!

Last night I went to the My Kinda Party tour featuring Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan! It was so much fun, and the music was amazing.

Remember Lauren Alaina from American idol last year? She was the opener...and man, does she have a voice! She sang two of my favorites of hers, like my mother does and Georgia peaches. I'm not usually that excited about opening acts, but I got there early for this one!

We had box seats, and the view was perfect! Luke and Jason did some songs together and some apart. I really loved how they brought back some old country classics!

I think by far the funniest part of the night was when someone pulled the fire alarm in the arena! Jason and Luke took it in stride and just kept on going.

A fun surprise was definitely when Jason started singing Don't you want to stay? And Lauren sang Kelly Clarkson's part(in my opinion she was better!) it was a really cute duet!

Last night we set their record for attendance!! It was a sold out concert (over 50,000 people!)

For my outfit, I wore my Jcrew cigarette jeans, c&c California button down, and cowboy boots! (don't forget the pearls!

I had such a great night with my friend Émeline! Let me know if any of y'all are headed to one of their shows, it is worth it!

-I have three younger brothers who drive me crazy.

-I have two precious puppies, and I miss both of them when I'm at school (same as miss southern preps...i feel the same way) (:. 

-I dream of marrying a cute southern prep boy, and someone who shares my love for horses! (then again..who doesnt?!) 

-I get really good SAT scores even though i'm only 15...not sure why.

       It depends on who it is. My best friends and I are completely honest with each other so if I was with them I would say that does not fit AT ALL. But if I don't know them well, I will usually just tell them..are you sure you don't want to try that on in a bigger size? This stuff usually runs small.

9. Least Favorite Candy?

REither snickers or Twix...not a fan.

10. Coke or Pepsi? 

COKE!!!! why even ASK that?!

11. What is the best way to end a day?

      Snuggling up in bed with the puppies and playing my favorite music.

Being Sick Isn't Fun..

Hey y'all.. I'm sick):

It's that awful sinus sickness where you can't breathe through your nose, have a massive headache and a cough. The worst part?>I'm at school.

I have varsity tennis tryouts today so I just had to suck it up and come to school. I have a migraine so I am most definitely not paying attention right now in math class....but I am looking up inspirational quotes! (: so I will share them below:

OOTD: mlk day=busy morning!

It's official: I'm OBSESSED with the pic stitch app! It makes picking out an outfit so much more fun! So here is my outfit for today:

JCrew Haberdashery Button Down: I love this shirt. It is THE staple short for any outfit, and if I'm stuck and have no idea what to wear, this is what I'll put on.

American Eagle Shorts: I know, I know American Eagle?! Just to be clear..I don't shop there often at all! I bought these at a black friday sale because of their adorable salmon pink color!

My mom gave me this belt, so I have no idea where it is.

And the shoes: cork and gold jack Rodgers!

I just decided to put in my makeup for fun. All I am wearing today is Benefit It's Real! Mascara, Neutrogena concealer (it has built in eye cream & sunscreen YAY!!) and some Neutrogena lip gloss(:
